Let's try this again...

I really don't know how it happens. I think about blogging quite often. I just never sit down and do it. Then somehow, almost a year goes by since the last time I wrote anything. But I'm back now. Really. I mean it. For now.

Since my last post in July of 2011, quite a lot has happened. I'm not going to go back and catch up all those posts I've thought about along the way, but here's a run down of what I missed blogging about:

August/September - Nick's appendix exploded. I really do mean it exploded, the surgeon said so. And when it did, it also blew a hole in his colon. One life-flight to Rapid City Regional Hospital, nine days in Regional, and about a month of recovery later, he was pretty much as good as new. Just rather skinny.

November - Connor turned 1. That would have been a good blog. I'm sorry I missed it. He had fun though. You'll have to take my word for it.

December - the holidays. Also would have been a good blog. Bummer

January- family vacation to visit Nick's brother in Royse City, Texas and one of my bestest friends, Katie, in Fort Worth. Also lots of fun with lots of good pictures.

February - it was cold and windy. that's about it.

March - calving

April - weird weather and more calving.

May - see new blogs

There, that's the last year of our life in nutshell. Now, we're all caught up.
